In my opinion it really doesn't matter if you will choose the shirt and trousers set or stay with usual nightgown. What matters is the happiness of you child. So if she wants to have a nightgown then she should have it. It makes her happy and that is the most important thing in my opinion. Of course it applies only if your girl is old enough to make the choice herself. If she is still a little baby she must be happy whatever girls pyjamas you would choose for her.

One important factor to remember when searching for suitable pyjama for your baby girl is the ability to keep warm. It is quite an important thin that little babies should be in warm. It prevents them from diseases and from getting cold at night. On the other hand some babies doesn't like warm pyjamas at all and would not get sleep at night. Then you must lay some extra blankets on her in my opinion. It is easier for both of you.

Another point to remember when buying a girls pyjamas is the fabric of the pyjama. Remember that she will spend quite much time on the pyjama and so she needs to feel herself comfortable on that. In my opinion there are some materials that don't suit for pyjama making at all. Still I have seen pyjamas made of these materials. In general all fabrics that are not very smooth and not natural does not suit for pyjamas. At least in my opinion. For example girls pyjamas made of cotton would be just perfect.

To sum it up I can point out that you should listen to your little girl opinion when choosing a pyjama for her. You must be sure that she will not get cold in it and you should choose the most comfortable material for your baby girls pyjama.
